Why it matters
When water is coming through the ceiling at 2 AM, the homeowner calls down the list until someone picks up. The company that answers first usually gets the job.
Keep scrolling. This is what happens on your line while your crew is asleep.
02:14:05AM
The phone rings.
A homeowner in Glendale has water pouring out under the kitchen sink. Your office closed at 6, so the call forwards to Vallyr.
Answered in two rings.
It says it's your company's automated assistant and that the call is recorded. Then it asks what's going on.
Five facts, first.
Name, callback number, address, what happened, and whether it's still happening. Water still running makes it an emergency under your rules.
Mike gets the alert.
A text and a phone call to your on-call tech. The caller hears a promise Vallyr can keep: a technician will call within 15 minutes.
Mike doesn't pick up.
A text is easy to sleep through. Vallyr calls Mike again at 3 minutes, then Carlos, your backup, at 5.
Carlos presses 1.
Vallyr calls the homeowner back and joins them, showing your business number. Seven minutes from the first ring to a person.

Setup
You don't configure anything.
We build it around how you run your business, test it before it answers a real customer, and tune it every month.
Step 1
We visit and build it
60 to 90 minutes at your shop. We cover your services, service area, on-call crew and what counts as an emergency for you.
Step 2
We test it with 25 calls
Burst pipes, sewage, a panicked caller, a gas smell, an adjuster, Spanish, junk calls. You get every recording.
Step 3
It answers and escalates
Calls you don't pick up in 15 seconds forward to Vallyr, and so does every call after hours.
Step 4
You see the jobs land
A morning brief every day, a dashboard with one-tap Won or Lost, and a monthly review in person.
One plan with everything in it — the visit, the build and the 25 test calls included. No setup fee, no per-minute bills, so a storm week costs the same as a quiet one.
Yes. The first sentence says it's your company's automated assistant and that the call is recorded. California requires consent to record, and callers trust it more when it's upfront. Most people care about getting help fast.
What if nobody on my crew answers?
It keeps going down your list: your on-call tech twice, your backup, then you, then everyone at once. If nobody accepts within 30 minutes, Matthew is paged and the customer gets a call saying help is on the way.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. Your number stays the same. Calls you don't pick up within 15 seconds, and every call after hours, forward to Vallyr.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. It's month to month. Cancel with 30 days' notice.
6:48 AM
Sleep through the night.
Vallyr takes the 2 AM call and gets your tech moving. You wake up to the job.
Setup takes one visit from you. The rest is on us: building it, testing it, watching it and tuning it every month.
Setup
Step 1
Visit
60 to 90 minutes at your shop. Services you offer and don't, your service area, office hours, who's on call, and your rules for what's an emergency.
Step 2
Build
Your greeting, questions and rules go into your own setup. We write the safety lines with you and you approve them.
Step 3
Test
25 scripted calls before any customer hears it. You get the recordings and a scorecard. It has to pass every safety and emergency call.
Step 4
Go live
Your carrier forwards calls you don't answer within 15 seconds, and all calls after hours. You keep your number.
Step 5
Every month
We review every emergency and any call you flag, tune what needs it, and walk you through your report.
On every call
A call, step by step.
Every call ends in one of three places: a tech talking to the customer, a booked appointment, or a message you'll see in the morning.
First 10 seconds
Answer
Two rings. "Thanks for calling Valley Restoration. I'm the company's automated assistant, and this call is recorded."
Who's calling
Sort the caller
Homeowner, property manager, insurance adjuster, existing customer, vendor or junk. Junk never wakes you up.
First 90 seconds
Five facts first
Name, callback number, address, what happened, and whether it's happening right now. If it sounds like an emergency, your tech is alerted within 90 seconds, even if the caller is hard to understand.
Safety
Danger check
Fire still burning, gas smell, sparks or someone hurt: "Please hang up and call 911 right now." You get a DANGER alert.
Your rules
Decide and act
Your rules sort it into Emergency, Urgent or Routine. The caller hears exactly what happens next.
Your rules
Your rules decide who gets woken up.
These are the starting rules. We change them with you at the visit, and any time after with one text.
Emergency
Water still flowing or standing. Sewage. Sagging ceiling. Water near electrical. Fire or smoke in the last 24 hours. Board-up needed. A business that can't open.
Your on-call crew is called until someone accepts, then connected to the customer.
Urgent
Water has stopped but floors or walls are wet, and it happened in the last 48 hours. Mold after a recent leak.
First call when you open. The caller gets a promised time, and it sits at the top of your morning brief.
Routine
Older damage, mold inspections, estimates, rebuild questions, questions about a job in progress.
Booked into your Google or Outlook calendar, or a callback time is set.
Escalation
Until a person presses 1.
A text alone is easy to sleep through. Vallyr calls your people in order and only counts the job as taken when someone presses 1. Then it calls the customer and joins them, showing your business number, so they pick up.
You set the minutes and the order. Changes to who's on call go live within an hour, 7 AM to 10 PM.

What you see
Everything lands in one place.
An alert on every emergency, in the same short format, with the recording one tap away.
A morning brief at 6:30 AM, or whenever you choose. Overnight calls, callbacks due, and adjuster deadlines.
A dashboard with every call, recording and transcript, a calendar view, and one-tap Won or Lost.
A nightly test call to your line. If it ever fails, we're alerted and calls go straight to your on-call tech's cell.

Ground rules
What Vallyr never does.
Pretend to be a person. If a caller asks, it says it's your automated assistant.
Quote prices or tell anyone what insurance will cover.
Give safety instructions you haven't approved in writing.
Go live on your line before it passes the 25 test calls.
No. There's no setup fee — the monthly plan covers everything, including your in-person visit, the build and the 25 test calls.
When does the monthly plan start?
The day your line goes live, after it passes the test calls.
Do storm weeks cost more?
No. There's no per-call or per-minute billing. Up to 1,500 call minutes a month are included, and we'll talk to you before anything changes if you go over.
Is Spanish extra?
No. Spanish intake is included.
I already have an office manager. Is this still worth it?
Most shops use Vallyr for nights, weekends and calls the office can't get to. During the day your phone rings your office first, and Vallyr only picks up after 15 seconds.
How do I cancel?
Tell us, or cancel from your billing page. Your plan ends 30 days later, and we help you switch your call forwarding back.
FAQ
Questions owners ask before they sign up.
Don't see yours? Call the demo line, or book a visit and ask in person.
Callers
Will callers know it's automated?
Yes. The first sentence says it's your company's automated assistant and that the call is recorded. If someone asks, it says so again. It gets to the point fast and tells them when a technician will call.
What if a caller is panicking or hard to understand?
If a call sounds like an emergency, your on-call tech is alerted within 90 seconds, even if some details are missing. The alert includes what was captured and the recording as soon as the call ends.
What happens if there's real danger?
If a caller mentions fire still burning, a gas smell, sparks, a collapse or someone hurt, Vallyr tells them to hang up and call 911, and you get a DANGER alert. It doesn't give any other safety advice unless you've approved the exact words.
Does it speak Spanish?
Yes. It handles the whole intake in Spanish, and your summary arrives in English marked "Caller spoke Spanish." If a tech on your crew speaks Spanish, they can be first on the list for those calls.
What about junk calls?
Sales calls and robocalls are ended politely and never wake anyone up. You see a count in your monthly report.
Your team
What if nobody on my crew answers?
It calls down your list: on-call tech twice, backup, you, then everyone. At 30 minutes Matthew is paged and the customer gets a call saying help is on the way.
How do I change who's on call?
Send a text or use "Request a change" in your dashboard. Roster changes go live within an hour between 7 AM and 10 PM. Other changes take up to 2 business days, and we test them first.
Can it book jobs?
It books routine work like mold inspections and estimates into your Google or Outlook calendar. Emergencies aren't booked. They go straight to a person.
What about insurance adjusters and TPA assignments?
Adjuster calls get a fast lane. Vallyr takes the carrier, claim number, insured's contact and the contact deadline, texts you right away, and puts it at the top of your morning brief.
Setup
Do I keep my phone number?
Yes. Your carrier forwards calls you don't answer within 15 seconds, and every call after hours. We set it up with you.
How long until it's live?
Most of the time goes into testing. We don't switch it on until it passes all 25 test calls, and you hear the recordings first.
Do I have to set anything up in an app?
No. We build and maintain it. Your dashboard is for seeing calls and marking jobs Won or Lost. It has no settings to manage.
Does it help with Google Local Services Ads?
It answers the calls those ads bring in, including at night. Google says missed calls can hurt your ad ranking, and from Oct 1, 2026 it bills missed calls over 20 seconds during business hours. Google hasn't said how it treats calls answered by an assistant, so we don't promise ranking changes.
Money and privacy
How is the money figure calculated?
It only counts calls Vallyr handled that you marked Won, at the job value you typed in. We never estimate it for you.
How long are recordings kept?
90 days by default, then they're deleted automatically. You can choose a different period. Recordings open only through your logged-in dashboard, never through a link in a text message.
Who can hear my calls?
You, the people you give a login to, and Matthew when he reviews calls to tune your setup. See the privacy policy.
Is there a contract?
No. It's month to month, and you can cancel with 30 days' notice.
About
A phone desk run by someone you can meet.
Vallyr answers phones for restoration companies in Los Angeles County. It's run by Matthew, who sets up every client in person, tests their line before it goes live, and reviews their calls with them every month.
Why restoration
Restoration calls are the most urgent calls in home services. Water keeps spreading, sewage keeps backing up, and the homeowner calls the next company if nobody picks up. Leads cost more here than in almost any other trade, so a missed call is money already spent.
A generic receptionist takes a message. Restoration needs someone who asks the right questions and gets a tech on the phone fast. That's the only thing Vallyr is built to do.
Where we work
Los Angeles County, including Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena and the San Fernando Valley. We come to you.
We test before it's live
25 scripted calls, and you hear the recordings, before a real customer ever talks to it.
We only count jobs you mark won
The money figure is yours, not our estimate.
You don't configure anything
You tell us how you work. We build it and keep it tuned.
We say it's automated
Callers are told up front. It's honest, and California requires consent to record.
Let's talk at your shop.

Effective [date]. This policy explains what Vallyr ("we") collects, why, and what we do with it. Vallyr answers phone calls for restoration companies ("clients"). [Legal entity name and mailing address.]
What we collect
From people who call our clients: the call recording, a transcript, your phone number, and what you tell us, such as your name, the property address, what happened, and insurance details.
From clients: contact and business details, the on-call roster, office hours, and your call-handling rules. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we don't store card numbers.
From clients who connect a calendar: busy times and the appointments Vallyr creates. See "Google and Microsoft calendar data" below.
From website visitors: what you enter in our forms, and basic technical logs such as IP address and browser type.
How we use it
To answer calls, send the details to the client's team, and connect callers with a technician.
To send confirmation texts when a caller agrees to receive them.
To show clients their calls, recordings and reports, and to improve how their calls are handled.
To bill clients and provide support.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Call recording
Every call handled by Vallyr begins with a notice that the caller is speaking with an automated assistant and that the call is recorded. If you don't want the call recorded, you can hang up and contact the company another way.
Text messages
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. See our text message terms.
Google and Microsoft calendar data
When a client connects a Google or Microsoft calendar, Vallyr reads busy times only, to avoid booking over existing appointments, and creates the appointments it books. We don't read the titles or details of other events. Vallyr's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don't use this data for advertising, and people at Vallyr don't read it except when the client asks for help or when needed for security or legal reasons.
Who we share it with
The client whose line you called, and service providers that run Vallyr for us: our voice assistant provider, phone carrier, cloud database and hosting, email delivery, and payments (Stripe). They may use the data only to provide their service to us. [Confirm with each provider, before launch, that it does not use call data to train its own models.] We may also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Call recordings: 90 days by default, then deleted automatically. A client may choose a different period.
Call summaries and transcripts: while the client's account is active, and up to [period] after it ends.
Client account and billing records: as long as needed for the service and as the law requires.
Security
Recordings open only through a logged-in dashboard, using links that expire after a few minutes. Each client can see only its own calls. No system is perfectly secure, and we'll tell affected clients promptly if something goes wrong.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. If your request is about a call you made to one of our clients, we'll work with that client to respond. California residents may have additional rights under state law.
Children
Vallyr is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes and contact
We'll post any changes on this page with a new effective date. Questions: hello@vallyr.com.
Draft for legal review. Replace the bracketed items and have a lawyer check this page before launch.
Effective [date]. These terms are an agreement between you, the business signing up ("you"), and [Legal entity name] ("Vallyr", "we").
The service
Vallyr answers your business's calls with an automated assistant, collects details from callers, sorts calls using rules you approve, alerts and calls your team, books routine appointments, and provides recordings, summaries and reports.
Vallyr is not an emergency service
Vallyr does not contact 911 or dispatch emergency services. When a caller describes danger, Vallyr tells them to call 911. You remain responsible for responding to your customers.
Your responsibilities
Keep your on-call roster, office hours and contact numbers up to date by telling us about changes.
Approve any safety instructions Vallyr gives callers.
Use Vallyr lawfully, including laws about call recording and text messages.
Follow up with the customers Vallyr passes to you.
Setup, fees and billing
No setup fee. The monthly plan is the only thing you pay.
Plan: $449 per month, starting the day your line goes live, billed monthly through Stripe.
Up to 1,500 call minutes per month are included. If you regularly go over, we'll talk with you before changing anything.
[Taxes and failed payments: to be decided.]
Cancellation
The plan is month to month. You can cancel any time with 30 days' notice. We'll help you switch your call forwarding back.
Our guarantee
If, in a calendar month, Vallyr fails to answer a forwarded call within two rings, or fails to escalate an emergency until a person accepts it, for reasons within our control, that month's plan fee is credited in full. Carrier outages, your forwarding settings, and roster information you didn't give us are outside our control.
Accuracy
Vallyr uses automated speech recognition, which can mishear. Summaries are there to help your team act quickly; the recording is the full record.
Your data
Your call data belongs to you. You allow us to process it to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. When you leave, we'll give you an export of your call records on request and delete the rest on our normal schedule.
Limitation of liability
[To be written with a lawyer. Typically: no liability for lost profits or indirect damages, and total liability capped at the fees you paid in the [3] months before the claim.]
General
These terms are governed by California law. We may update them with 30 days' notice by email. Questions: hello@vallyr.com.
Draft for legal review. Your texting provider's registration form will ask for this page's link.
Who gets texts
Callers: people who call one of our clients and agree, during the call, to receive a text. These are confirmations and updates about their request, such as "A technician will call you from (818) 555-0100 within 15 minutes."
Client staff: team members a client lists to receive call alerts and the morning brief.
Vallyr does not send marketing texts.
How often
